Product Description and Application
Easyflex RLE is an important part of the Opus Construction Products portfolio. A cold applied, ready-to-use bitumen packaged in convenient 20ltr containers, it is CE marked and complies with British Code of Practice CP102:1973.
As shown in the first photograph its primary use is in sealing exposed concrete structures prior to back-filling on abutments, decks, pillars and any supportive monolithic structure. It is applied at a rate of 2.5mm2/ltr and two coats can be applied for maximum protection.
The second coat can be blinded with sharp sand whilst in tack condition. Once applied Easyflex RLE eliminates water penetration at the base and throughout the applied area.
Building Projects
Photos 4 and 5 show a further application whereby a boundary wall which will be backfilled can be protected by the application of Easyflex RLE to the outside face. The householder can render and paint the wall knowing that they won’t face water scour and staining problems in years to come.
